Room 20 created amazing moments in time pieces about a volcanic eruption. Here are a few amazing examples.

Deadly lava rolls down the volcano. BOOM! The lava hits the water. SPLASH! Peoplle scream in terror as the lava rushes down the volcano.

The sky turns black as the smoke covers the sky. People are horrified. I wonder how many volcanoes erupt a year?

Flaming, blazing hot magma flows down the huge volcano, as the cloudy smoke fills the sky. BOOM! The lava gets launched out like water in a sprinkler. People scream in terror as their village gets obliterated by the scorching hot lava. Blasting up the glowing lava turns the sky crimson while it illuminates the surrounding valley. Steaming the crystal clear lake boils while the pitch black ashes of the village blow away. I wonder how volcanoes are created.

Burning hot lava drooling fast as a tidal wave. Bright as the sun lava flows out of the volcano ash as a blanket covers everything around. I feel sad for any people who died in an exploding volcano.

Blasting lava quickly rises up into the gloomy sky. Bright glowing lights surround the top of the volcano, when the lava hits the water. BOOM! I wonder how the volcano erupts.

Another magic piece by a Gulf Harbour author - enjoy, dear readers!

 A Cold Windy Morning

It was a cold windy morning

I was walking through the forest.

A blinding light shone through the dancing trees

I walked cautiously toward it

I got to the light

Standing there before me was a gigantic tree curving over me

I stared at it as if I was frozen

I slowly moved toward the tree and carefully put my hand on it

The tree started to glow like the sun

There was a flash and I ended up back in my bedroom

My head was spinning and I felt really faint

I was so disappointed that I could not see what other wonders lay in the magical tree

The Thunderstorm - Year 2 ESOL group

I typed up the texts by these incredibly talented year 2 English language learners and fixed a few little spelling mistakes. All the wonderful words and sentences were created independently though.

The thunder clouds covered the sky. I thought it was midnight. My mum was waking up because of the thunder. When my mum woke, she thought it was midnight too. Then she looked at her phone. It was actually seven o'clock. The thunder sounded like an explosion. I like the thunder. But everybody else is scared of the thunder. When my friend is sharing her news when she said about the thunder, the thunder suddemly boomed loudly. My sister was not scared too.

By Grace, room 10

The pond was filling up this morning because of the rain. The rain was heavy. It was hitting my roof. I didn't really like this morning. The thunder sounded like a dragon breathing fire. The sky was black. The clouds were shutting out the light.
